Who receives your data?

Within our company, your data is only shared with those individuals who need it to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations or to perform their respective tasks.

Your data will only be shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes if you have given your consent.

Otherwise, your data will not be disclosed to third parties, except as described in detail in this Privacy Policy, and with the following exceptions:

We may engage carefully selected service providers to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations and for our internal administrative processes. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in ensuring and improving the efficiency, speed, and cost-effectiveness of our service portfolio through this division of labor, whereby individual tasks are delegated to other companies. Article 28 of the GDPR serves as a supplementary legal basis for data processing.

For what purposes and on what legal basis do we process your data?

The purpose of processing the data collected during your visit to this website is to reliably provide you with this website and the information it contains, to improve our offerings, to respond to or process any inquiries or concerns you may have, where applicable, to prepare or fulfill a contract, and, to the extent permitted by law or where you have given your consent, to send you offers and information of interest to you (advertising).

The legal bases for this are:

Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, if and to the extent that you have given us your consent, and

Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as this involves the performance of contractual or pre-contractual measures, and

Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, insofar as we are required to fulfill a legal obligation, and

Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in offering attractive websites by analyzing statistical information about their use, in establishing and maintaining a business relationship with you, in providing advance payment under an upcoming or ongoing contract only after we have verified your good creditworthiness, and in advertising or promotional activities for our services within the legally permissible scope, in order to thereby secure the economic strength and positive future prospects of our company.

How long is the data stored?

All data you enter in forms and that we collect will be stored for as long as necessary to process your request. If the data is used to maintain an existing business relationship, it will be stored for as long as our business relationship continues. We will delete your personal data once the business relationship with you has ended, provided that the contractual relationship and all mutual or foreseeable claims have been fulfilled and there are no further legal retention obligations or legal grounds for data storage. The retention obligations under commercial and tax law apply for a period of up to 10 years.

1.) Data we collect

You can generally visit our websites without telling us who you are. To the extent technically possible, personal data is collected on our sites only if you voluntarily provide it to us by entering it yourself on our form pages, for example by entering your name, phone number, email address, etc. Every time you access and use our websites, access data (server log files) that your browser automatically transmits is collected as part of the functionality of the Internet: the date and time of the visit, the IP address used, browser type and operating system, as well as the page visited and the referring page, device data, and location data (geodata). Due to the IP address, this data may under certain circumstances be personally identifiable, but we do not combine this access data with other data sources. Our analysis of all access data is conducted anonymously, without reference to individuals, and using statistical methods, exclusively for the purpose of improving the functionality of our website. We reserve the right to review the server log file data—to the extent it is still available—if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use. We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet may involve security vulnerabilities; this applies in particular to the entry of data on our website. To minimize this risk, we encrypt the data you provide when ordering our goods and services using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. You can recognize this by the “https” in the address bar instead of “http.” However, it is not possible to completely protect data from access by third parties.

2.) Use of Cookies

We use “cookies” exclusively in the situations described below. You can configure your browser at any time to display or delete cookies. This means you always have the option to decide whether to accept or reject a cookie, or when to delete it. When you access our websites, our web server automatically sends a temporary cookie to your browser to make it easier for you to navigate our website. The only information contained in this temporary cookie is a reference value that allows our software to determine which page should be displayed when you click the “Back” button in your browser. The cookie is deleted as soon as you close the current browser window. If you reach our website via one of our business partners, our web server also sends a temporary cookie to your browser that contains a “referrer code” for that business partner. We use this data for statistical and marketing purposes. The cookie is deleted as soon as you close the current browser window. We also use cookies when you visit our contact pages or form pages. When you fill out a form, our website sends a cookie to your local hard drive; however, you can disable it at any time via your browser settings. If you accept this type of cookie, you’ll save time because you won’t have to fill out forms repeatedly. If you don’t accept this type of cookie, you can still use our website.

3.) Use of Piwik Analytics

“We are not currently conducting any web analytics, but we plan to use Piwik in the future; we will provide updates on this here as they become available.”

4.) Social plugins from Facebook and Google+

Our website uses so-called social plugins (“plugins”) from the social networks Facebook and Google+. These services are provided by Facebook Inc. and Google Inc. (“providers”): Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”) and Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). You can find an overview of Facebook’s plugins and their appearance here:

developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins

You can find an overview of Google’s plugins and their appearance here:

developers.google.com/+/web/ .

To enhance data protection, our website uses the so-called “2-click solution” for social plugins. The plugins are only activated when you click on them. By clicking, you consent to the transfer of data. Your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the servers of Google or Facebook. The content of the respective plugin is then transmitted directly from the provider to your browser and integrated into the page. This informs the providers that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile with the provider or are not currently logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a server of the respective provider in the United States and stored there. If you are logged in to one of the social networks, the providers can immediately associate your visit to our website with your profile on Facebook or Google+. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like” or “+1” button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the provider and stored there. The information is also published on the social network and displayed there to your contacts. For information regarding the purpose and scope of data collection, as well as the further processing and use of data by the providers, and your related rights and privacy settings, please refer to the providers’ privacy policies.

Facebook Privacy Policy:

www.facebook.com/policy.php

Google Privacy Policy:

www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html

If you do not want Google or Facebook to directly associate the data collected via our website with your profile on the respective service, you must log out of the relevant service before activating the plugins.

5.) Processing, Use, and Disclosure of Personal Data

The personal data you enter on our website is processed and used to handle your inquiries or orders, in particular to follow up with you, send you requested information or contract documents, and—if a contract is concluded—to fulfill the terms of the contract. In addition, we also use this data for our own marketing purposes, to maintain and manage your customer account with us, and to continuously improve our range of goods and services. Your data will only be used for advertising purposes if this is permitted by law or if you have given your prior consent. You may, of course, revoke your consent at any time with future effect. You can find our contact information for this revocation at the top of this website or in the legal notice. We may engage third parties for the purpose of contract fulfillment and processing. In order to enable these third parties to perform technical, logistical, or other services on our behalf—such as delivery or billing—we will only share your data with them to the extent necessary for contract fulfillment and processing, and in compliance with data protection regulations. Credit check: If we make an advance payment and there is a financial default risk on our part, e.g., in the case of a purchase on account, we reserve the right to obtain a credit report from SCHUFA Holding AG, Kormoranweg 5, 65201 Wiesbaden, or from Creditreform Münster Riegel & Riegel KG, Scharnhorststr. 46, 48151 Münster, or from R+V Allgemeine Versicherung AG, Raiffeisenplatz 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, provided that this does not conflict with the buyer’s legitimate interests. We transmit the personal data required for the credit check and use the information received regarding the statistical probability of default to make a balanced decision regarding the establishment, performance, or termination of the contractual relationship. We comply with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act. Otherwise, your data will not be disclosed to third parties unless you have given your consent. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect. You can find our contact information for this purpose at the top of this website or in the legal notice. Electronic data sent to us as part of a job application will be used exclusively for the purpose of reviewing the application. If no employment contract is concluded, this data will be deleted no later than 5 months after the position has been filled by another candidate, unless you expressly consent to longer-term storage for a potential future vacancy. The same applies to unsolicited applications; this data will be deleted no later than 5 months after receipt if there is no explicit consent for longer-term storage.

To ensure that the newsletter is sent with your consent, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. As part of this process, the potential recipient is added to a mailing list. The user then receives a confirmation email giving them the opportunity to confirm their subscription in a legally compliant manner.
